How to Apply

Financial assistance from Taraboom is intended for families who are going through a difficult financial time and need help to keep going forward without worrying about some of their monetary commitments when all attentions are on their child and/or parents have left their employment temporarily to tend to family.

We have designed our application process to be as undemanding as possible yet gain the information required to make an accurate and informed decision for families in difficult times.

The process is pretty basic, but it does require a little time and energy.

Check the assistance area to be sure you your family is within. We so hate to have to decline an applicant after they have taken precious time from their family to contact us.	Contact to Taraboom must come directly from the family in need of assistance. We are very much aware that family and friends want to help but we do need to hear from the family. All correspondence will be between the family itself and the board of Taraboom.	Families that are looking to apply for financial assistance are asked to submit an initial contact letter to Taraboom. Include:	Send the initial contact to Taraboom by regular post: P.O.Box 20171, St. Thomas, ON N5P 4H4 or by
		Child’s name & age Your address, daytime & evening contact information Child’s diagnosis. Pertinent medical information Treatment plans if any How the funds applied for, if granted would best be used. Name of the person who referred you, or how you heard about Taraboom.
The Board reviews all letters received to determine initial eligibility for assistance. If your letter has met all criteria and board approval, you will be contacted by someone from Taraboom who has been assigned to work one on one with your family. Your contact will be in touch to arrange a convenient time to meet and move your family quickly onto the application.
